Stitch Fix Review No. 2

Welcome to my 2nd Stitch Fix review. This is actually the 3rd fix I have received, but I was so disappointed by my second fix, I had decided not to order any more Fixes. But, a couple weeks ago, I decided to try Stitch Fix again for fall and I am pleased to report, I was very happy with this Fix. I have some renewed confidence in Stitch Fix as a personal stylist for me!

Stitch Fix is a subscription box of clothing and accessories delivered monthly (more or less if you wish). Your personal Stitch Fix stylist will choose five items unique to your style and budget for your FIX. These items may include shirts, sweaters, pants, skirts, dresses, outerwear and accessories. Before your Stitch Fix stylist picks out your items, they will review the style survey you fill out on Stitch Fix and also view the Pinterest board you create for Stitch Fix with looks you love. Once you receive your “FIX”, you have 3 days to try on your items and decide what you will keep and what you will return to Stitch Fix. There is a $20 styling fee for each box shipped from Stitch Fix, which is applied to any items purchased. If you purchase all five items, you receive 25% off the total. Stitch Fix offers free shipping both ways. Also, new to Stitch Fix are petite and maternity sizes! Here's What was in my Fix

Navy Kut From The Kloth Denna Skinny Jean $78
Stitch Fix Denim

I LOVE these Jeans! They are super soft and have a great stretch to them. The length is perfect for me; my legs are on the longer side. The dark color is great and the waist lands just below the belly button, which I like. I am definitely keeping these!

Teal Green Pixley Abriella Waffle Knit Cardigan $48
Stitch Fix Sweater
Stitch Fix Sweater
I really love the color, style and fabric of this sweater. The one thing I do not like is the length of the sleeves. I have long arms and the sleeves are a couple inches too short for a cover sweater. I wouldn't be happy with the sleeves, so I am returning this one.

Coral 41Hawthorn Breyson Pleated Tab-Sleeve Blouse $58

This blouse is light and flows with movement. The length of the sleeves work for me and they can also roll up and button to turn into mid-length sleeves. This is a great fall color and has the same fabric design on that back that is on the front. I am keeping this blouse.

Edit: After trying this blouse on again and looking at it in a different light, I decided I am returning this one. The loops to hold the rolled up sleeve are visible when the sleeves are down, and I did not like how it looked rolled up. Also, I noticed a couple of the button threads were already coming undone, and I would never get to fixing it if they came off.

Dark Grey Market & Spruce Nina Asymmetrical Sweater Tunic $68

I really like grey, so I was excited to see what this would be. When I unfolded it, I didn't think I would like the style, and I turned out to be correct. The fabric is thick, so it doesn't drape and flow like a baggy shirt of this style should. I am returning this one.

Light Green Sweet Rain Dristol V-Neck Blouse $54

Stitch Fix Blouse
I really like this blouse! I love the light teal and navy color combination. 3/4 sleeves are great on me since I have such long arms and have trouble with sleeve length. This blouse will be great for business casual. I am keeping this shirt.

I am pretty pleased with this fix, especially since it is my first of the fall season. I expect my next fix to be as good if not better since my stylist will now have a better idea of items I need and want for fall. If you are ready to try Stitch Fix for yourself, start here!

Stitch Fix No. 1

I have a couple facebook friends using Stitch Fix and it looked very interesting. Since I have had less and less time lately to enjoy shopping, I decided to give Stitch Fix a try.

Here's What was in My First Fix

Bay to Baubles Ami Teardrop Tassel Necklace: $28

Stitch Fix Necklace
I liked the style of this piece but not the color combination. I would not pay this much for this particular necklace unless I needed it for a specific occasion. I am Returning this one.

Just USA Morrie Boyfriend Denim Jacket: $58

Stitch Fix Jacket
I asked Stitch Fix to send a denim jacket in my fix. I was not too thrilled about the boyfriend style when I first opened the box. But after I tried it on, I loved the jacket. I have long arms and have a hard time getting the right fit around my waist as well as the arm length. It was a tad big around the waist, but the arms fit! I am Keeping this one.

RD Style Novalli Split Back Tank: $48

This shirt has an interesting cut in the back, but the front is very plain. I do like grey, but I did not like this shade of grey with my skin color. I would have loved for this top to be in a spring color. I am Returning this piece.
Papermoon Remmie Maxi Skirt: $58

A maxi skirt was also an item I asked Stitch Fix to send. I liked the style of this skirt. It has nice a waist band and the length is perfect. I do not like the pattern at all and the colors are too dark for spring. Also, wherever the material stretched, it became lighter, which I didn't like. I am Returning this item.

Pixley Laural Geo Print Maxi Dress: $78

I also asked Stitch Fix for a maxi dress. I really liked the style and material of the dress. I did not really care for the geometric pattern. The colors were nice. Although it was navy blue, the white balanced it out and gave an overall lighter color. I definitely did not like the price of this one. I am Returning the dress.

Even though I only decided to keep one thing, I am very excited to get next month's FIX. I hope my stylist listens to my feedback and really comes through. And the surprise alone is so much fun!
